FAQs

Answers to the most common questions about OPlace Gear, helmet dryers, shipping, warranty, and returns.

Product Use & Performance

Our dryer uses low-heat, steady airflow to remove moisture, sweat, and odor particles from the liner. It helps speed up day-to-day drying — typically within about 20–40 minutes for normal sweat, depending on helmet type and conditions.

Yes. The airflow stays within safe temperature ranges for EPS foam, adhesives, and common liner materials. It is not designed to deform the shell or damage interior pads when used as directed.

Removing the visor is optional. External electronics such as GoPro cameras or Bluetooth modules should be removed before drying for safety and best results.

Yes. Odor usually comes from trapped moisture and bacteria. By drying the liner quickly and consistently, the dryer helps reduce odor buildup over time. Heavily soaked liners may need a longer cycle or a second run.

No. The purification module operates within safe levels and is designed not to crack, discolor, or harden helmet interior materials when used as instructed.

Noise level is comparable to a quiet desk fan. Many riders use it in bedrooms or shared spaces without disturbing others.

No. Proper drying helps preserve liner integrity. What harms helmets is long-term sweat saturation, improper cleaning agents, or extreme heat exposure — not controlled low-heat airflow.

Compatibility

The dryer is compatible with most full-face, modular, ADV, dual-sport, motocross, ski, snowboard, bicycle, and e-bike helmets. As long as the helmet has a hollow interior that can sit securely on the base, it will generally fit.

Yes. Smaller items such as gloves or lightweight pads can be placed over the airflow outlet. Drying time will vary depending on material thickness and saturation.

Safety

Yes. The dryer includes low-heat protection, internal temperature control, and automatic shut-off logic according to the timer setting. Always use it on a stable, heat-resistant surface and follow the user manual.

No. The system is designed for controlled, low-heat airflow rather than high-temperature drying. It is tuned for helmet safety rather than hair-dryer style heat.
